Greetings St. Alban’s Brothers,
It’s been a busy first few weeks of our Masonic year for SAL6. We’ve already initiated a new brother, Kevin Manuel, in a combined degree with Washington Lodge on Sunday, January 26th. This was intended to be a courtesy degree, but less than 24 hours before the degree, Washington would need to postpone the 2nd and 3rd sections. Rather than do so, St Alban’s rallied, and WB MJ performed the 2nd section to provide all four candidates with a full and flawless combined EA degree.
We also were well attended at the St. Paul’s Annul on January 27th and at PM McClure’s Masonic Funeral Service on January 28th. Thank you to all the brothers who have been attending these events. Your attendance is noticed by the DDGM and the rest of the district. Very impressive brothers!
With this momentum, our top three officers have officially signed for the Grand Master’s Award. Our next event is the DDGM’s visitation to St. John’s #1 in Portsmouth this Monday, February 3rd. We will go in with the DDGM’s suite. Let’s show up in force for this one brother!
Finally, we had both a productive Bylaw Committee meeting and BoD meeting on January 30th. Our BoD for the Association will meet on the first Thursday of each month at 6:30 pm. Our Bylaw committee will meet at 7:30 pm on the same night until our revision to the Bylaws is complete.
Let’s continue to plan our Fellow Craft Club gathering on Friday, February 7th at 7:30 pm at the Lodge.
Our program in February will be MEGHP Chris Ellis on the Order of the Eastern Star. Our Association's Annual meeting will be held immediately following our communication. Five at-large members will be elected to the BoD from our membership.
