Master's Message

Greetings, St. Alban’s Brothers,

Welcome back to the lodge from our traditional summers break. I’m sure each one of you enjoyed the rest and relaxation, spending time with family and friends. A brief recap of some summer activities for the lodge since our June communication. In early July many families and masons alike came down to the lodge for our 4 th of July celebrations. I was fortunate to have presided over a special communication of St Albans the morning of the 4 th , opening lodge with use of the Grand Masters special gavel he commissioned for use at the Semiquincentenial lodge no. 250 which was opened in early May by MWGM Gilbert Fontes. Many brothers also attended the Grand Lodge annual picnic at Buttonwoods Park in Warwick. It was a wonderful time and a beautiful day spent enjoying pastimes and renewing friendships. To end the summer we gathered at the Nystroms where they hosted their annual Winefest. What a wonderful way to enjoy friends, and now onto work of the fast approaching fall and winter season.

I hope all will make an effort to come out to lodge this month when we welcome WB Josh Manfredo, Past Master of St Paul’s Lodge no. 14, who will be bringing us our programs for the evening. The first will be Words Matter and how it impacts us as Masons. Josh writes, It is my hope that those listening will examine their own decisions in how they present themselves to the world and how it intersects with how freemasonry is viewed by the profane. His second of the evening will be the mystery program. A little more lighthearted and fun for the entire lodge room. Our third for the evening will be an inhouse discussion on where we are as a lodge, who will be leading the lodge within five years and beyond. I’m hoping for lively discussion on this often overlooked topic.

Advance notice on November stated communication, the program for the evening; Freemasonry in Japan. I will have more to say regarding this and our speaker for the evening in the coming months. Thank you for the opportunity to lead the lodge for this masonic year, I look forward to seeing you all soon.

Y.I.T.C.,
Andrew Daigle, WM

Secretary Message

From The Secretary

Greetings Brothers,

As we head into September, we have reached that time of year when one of my least favorite duties as Secretary starts creeping back onto my list: following up on outstanding dues.

Our annual dues were due back in January, and there are still a number of members who have not yet taken care of them. If you are among them, I ask that you please make your payment as soon as you are able. Staying current on dues helps the Lodge meet its obligations and allows us to continue the work, events, and fellowship we all enjoy throughout the year.

More importantly, if there is a reason you have not been able to pay, please reach out. Life happens, circumstances change, and sometimes we all need a little support. The Lodge would much rather hear from you and see how we can help than have a Brother simply fall behind or disappear because of dues.

For everyone who has already paid, thank you. It makes my job a little easier and, more importantly, helps keep St. Alban’s moving forward.

As always, if you have any questions about your dues or your membership, please feel free to reach out to me directly.

Fraternally yours,
Danny Cordeiro, Secretary
