Master’s Message
Greetings, St. Alban’s Brothers,
If everyone doesn’t already know, in a little over a week, on April 8 th, the date of our next stated communication, our Most Worshipful Grand Master, Rick Baccus, is making a special visitation to our lodge. What a great honor it is to welcome him and all the Grand Lodge officers who travel with his suite. I can properly say with pride that I should know what it’s like to travel with the Grand Master, because I am an honored floor officer, having said yes to his call a little over a year ago. I’m not sure if everyone feels the same as I do, but it’s an incredible feeling to hear your name called as part of his line. My official title is Worshipful, Grand Pursuivant. What is a Pursuivant? Technically speaking , according to those in the know, the definition states: A specialized officer within a The Masonic Grand lodge responsible for guarding the inner door, announcing visitors, is the regalia custodian, provides escort duty and attends Grand Lodge meetings, often acting in processions representing the authority of the Grand Master. In our grand jurisdiction, the Grand Pursuivant is purely ceremonial, but is ready to assist the junior deacon in guarding the west. In any capacity, it has been my honor to represent the position with honor and dignity.
With all of the above said, I call on every member of the lodge to come out to the Special Visitation at the coming stated. Our format will be slightly different than in previous months. For starters, we will be opening the lodge early at 6:30 pm and conducting business from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm. This one-hour period will give the lodge plenty of time to complete the necessary lodge consolidation business, which we started at the recent special communication. At 8:00 pm sharp, we will receive the Grand Master, then have a very nice PowerPoint and lecture presentation from our recent affiliate brother, Chris Lopes on Freemasonry and West Point. About 9:00 pm, the Grand Master will close the lodge for collation on the 2 nd floor. Brothers, please make every effort to attend our stated communication for the important Business of finishing up the lodge consolidation. Dinner will be served starting at 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm, in celebration of the Grand Master's visitation, we will be serving Cabrals' meatloaf with veggies, mashed potatoes, salad, water, and sodas available, the Meal will be the usual cost for the brothers, and everyone else, feel free to donate to our cause.

Greetings Brothers,
April always feels like a reset. The longer days and change in the air make it easier to step back and start fresh.
I’ve been thinking about that personally, and how much being in Lodge helps with that. Like anyone, I have times where things feel busy or a bit off, but spending time with the Brethren has a way of bringing me back to center. The conversations, the laughs, and just being around good men go a long way.
It is a good reminder not to take that for granted. What we have here is built through showing up and being there for one another.
If you have not been around in a bit, I hope you will stop in. You might find it is exactly what you needed.
Please also note that our meeting time is not 7:00 PM as mentioned in the Master’s message. Be sure to follow the correct time as previously communicated.
The Building Association will be meeting on Thursday, April 9th at 6:30 PM. All members are encouraged to attend.
