Master’s Message
Greetings, St. Alban’s Brothers,
Our opportunity to officially welcome our District Deputy Grand Master, Michael Cunningham to the lodge is upon us. I hope to see all of you there and share this visitation with our brothers from the other East Bay lodges. The program for the evening is the officers' forum. Moving forward, now that we are all back in state, I’ll be putting together a more thorough practice schedule for the degrees once I have good input from the line officers and past masters on the best dates and times for practice. We will be concentrating on the Entered Apprentice degree for now.
Worshipful Dave Lavery of St. John's Lodge No. 1 reached out to me recently to request another joint communication and asked if I would be in favor. I am thrilled to share my visitation with the brothers of St. John's Lodge No. 1 as we move forward to consolidation. Speaking of lodge consolidation, be on the lookout for a special communication to discuss and potentially vote on the whole host of items that the joint special committee has been working on. Time will be of the essence on this special communication, and I’ll be requesting all brothers to attend for the good of the craft. The St Albans group of the committee worked on March 25th at 7:00 pm. A separate notice will be forthcoming. On the horizon for April, the MWGM Rick Baccus will be making a special visitation to the lodge on April 8th. I sincerely can’t wait to see that many masons from around our grand jurisdiction at St. Albans lodge for that auspicious occasion.

Greetings Brothers,
As we enter this month, I have found myself spending more time in reflection than usual. In the quiet moments, I am reminded that while Freemasonry teaches us ritual, structure, and order, it is the lived experience of Brotherhood that leaves the deepest impression.
There are seasons in life when the steady presence of a brother matters more than we realize. A handshake that lingers a moment longer. A sincere “How are you?” that is more than routine. A shared laugh, a shared silence, or simply sitting together after a long day. These are not grand gestures, yet they carry weight. They remind us that the ties formed within these walls are real and enduring.
I have been especially mindful of that truth lately. The friendship, encouragement, and quiet strength that exist within our walls are not accidental. They are built, meeting by meeting, conversation by conversation. That spirit of Brotherly Love is not something we recite. It is something we live.
As your Secretary, I see how even the practical work of the Lodge supports that connection. When dues are kept current and contact information is updated, it ensures that no Brother drifts out of reach. These simple responsibilities help preserve the bond between us and allow the Lodge to remain steady for all who depend upon it. If there are changes in your circumstances, or if you need assistance in any way, I encourage you to reach out.
Our minutes will record what we do. But what sustains St. Albans Lodge No. 6 is something far less formal and far more important. Long after the minutes are written and the lights are dimmed it is our Brotherhood that endures.
