Master's Message

Greetings, St. Alban’s Brothers,

What a fantastic December, brothers! It started with our annual Holiday Party with the Ladies, Families, and Widows on 12/6/25, and followed with Bristol’s Grand Illumination. All had a great time. “What are ya gonna steal?!” Thank you to everyone who helped plan, coordinate, and decorate!

Next, on 12/10/25, we put on a fantastic Master Mason degree and raised our new brother, Kevin Manual. Again, kudos for coming together and putting on such a great degree for our candidate.

Finally, on 12/20/25, we presented our Adopted Christmas Family with their gifts with Jen Mancieri of the BFD Ladies Auxiliary. We brought tears to Michelle’s (mom) eyes with our generosity. Great job, brothers, we dug deep as a group again and made this family’s Christmas special. And we have even more to come!

January promises to be a very busy month as we head into the New Year. Our January 14th program will have three things: MM Candidate Proficiency, Bylaws Discussion/Approval, and Merger/Name Discussion.

For our January program, please give consideration to what you believe is most important:

  1. Retaining the name and number of St. Alban’s lodge?
  2. Retaining the identity of both lodges in a merger with a combined name?
  3. Retaining the history and prestige of the #1, mother lodge of the masonic jurisdiction of Rhode Island, founded in 1749? Or
  4. Creating a new merged lodge with a new name and number 51?

Also, please plan to attend our Annual Communication on January 21st and support our incoming WM Daigle and his line of officers. 2026 should be a great year for St. Alban’s as WB Daigle takes the East and we move closer to a potential merge with St. John’s. Together we will be less small, but even more mighty.

I wish everyone and their family a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

St. Alban’s #6, “We are small, but we are mighty!”

Fraternally,
R. Andrew Benn, WM

Secretary Message

From The Secretary

Greetings Brothers,

On behalf of the Lodge, I would like to wish each of you a happy, healthy, and prosperous New Year. As we begin another year together, we do so with gratitude for the fellowship we share and optimism for the work ahead. Our Lodge continues to thrive because of the dedication, support, and involvement of its members.

We recently held our rehearsal for the Annual Communication. As a result, the Order of Merit award will be presented at our January 14th Stated Communication. This will help expedite the business of the evening at the Annual on January 21st.

Just to let you know, the Lodge will open for business at 5:00 PM on the evening of the Annual to conduct necessary lodge business. We anticipate breaking around 6:00 PM for dinner and returning to the Lodge room at 7:00 PM for the Installation of Officers by the Killwinning Club. The Annual promises to be a great evening, and we hope you will plan to attend.

Additionally, annual dues notices will be going out in the near future. Your timely attention to this matter is greatly appreciated and helps ensure the smooth operation of the Lodge throughout the year.

If you have any questions or need assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Fraternally yours,
Danny Cordeiro, Secretary
