Master’s Message
Greetings, St. Alban’s Brothers,
Writing my first Master’s message in five years, I have plenty of thoughts racing through my mind. Just recently I was in the west gazing across the lodge room at the Master. He had an extremely busy year, and with it, the support of the lodge. So much that he rallied the faithful for a run at the Grand Masters award. EUREKA !
Now I look out on my year, what I want to accomplish, where I want to be in a year, how many masons will be raised. For many months I had it all worked out in my head, who, what, why and how many, all in vivid color, my dreams, hopes and aspirations were ready to advance. Then came the low rumble, gaining strength of potential lodge consolidation? What is it, how will it happen, with who, with what, why and how many. No matter how it all shakes out, it will successfully come to fruition. At the end of the day, it’s about friends and brothers, giving a hand to my trusty friend and returning the gesture. We are reminded when we greet each other upon the level that we are always welcome, with a grip or a hug we are home at last.
I’m incredibly thankful as well as grateful, to be among the brothers of SAL 6, they are some of the most talented in our grand jurisdiction. I am thankful that our member and MWGM Rick Baccus was present along with our DDGM Michael Cunningham and other distinguished PGM’s, RW’s and Masons alike for the dinner and installation of officers performed by the Kilwinning Club of Boston. It was a treat to be long remembered by the lodges of the EB who came out for a unique event.
Brethren, The next several months will be busy with visitations and other activities with our district and beyond, I look forward to seeing you all at our February joint communication with St. John’s lodge No.1.
